Open studio practice
The Open Space at Atelier Tou is a shared studio area dedicated entirely to independent or semi-supervised practice. It offers unrestricted access to all studio equipment, allowing participants to work at their own pace on personal projects in a creative, collaborative, and inspiring environment. The space is open on both weekdays and weekends.
This offering is tailored for experienced practitioners who are comfortable with high-temperature clay and confident working independently or with minimal supervision. Unlike the Cours Hebdo cycles, these open studio sessions don’t include formal instruction, but Anna will be available during designated time slots for support.

Firings and glazing
The cost of firing your pieces is included up to 16 cm wide and 16 cm high. For larger pieces, the price will depend on the size of your pieces and will be calculated by the workshop manager.
The ceramic studio does not accept firing of pieces made outside of the studio.
Glazing of your pieces is an integral part of your Free Practice sessions, during workshop time slots. Glazing sessions will be organized by the ceramist in a group setting so that everyone can participate. Remember to reserve one or more sessions on your card for the glazing of your pieces.
Equipment
Participants agree to respect the workshop infrastructure and equipment, while leaving their workspace clean upon departure.
To come to the workshop, participants are asked to bring their own equipment, including a tool kit, sponges, microfiber cloths, and an apron. A storage box will be provided to allow you to safely leave your materials at the workshop.
The price includes use of the equipment and large tools, as well as access to the kitchen (fridge and microwave) and the refreshment area (tea, coffee, water).
Raw materials
Clays are not included in the Open Space rates. You can purchase them at the workshop in 5kg or 10kg batches. The workshop prices include the cost of the glazes, which you will therefore have free access to.
If you wish to bring your own glazes or any other equipment to the workshop, this must first be approved by a member of the team.
