Bringing joy to interiors with unique and sustainable objects
Atelier Tou is a maker's mark that crafts sensitive tableware and contemporary objects for modern living, using ancestral ceramic techniques.
Shaped by traditional expertise, each piece is designed and handcrafted in Brussels, balancing elegance and functionality with a distinctly modern sensibility.
“Our creations explore materiality and the unexpected—everything that makes an object unique and precious. Each piece has its own variations in texture, relief, and dimensions. As a result, no two pieces are alike, a true mark of artisanal craftsmanship.”
Atelier Tou is dedicated to innovation and quality. This is why craftswomanship remains a crucial element of its approach, bridging the gap between the tangible and the intangible, blurring the lines between art and craft—a tribute to raw materials, revisiting the natural properties of clay.
The founder Anna Tou has a background in typography and graphic design. Her workspace is housed within a ceramic studio in Forest, a district of Brussels. As a specialist in letter design and calligraphy, Anna reminds us that ceramics is not just a technique but a way of life—an ancestral gesture that reconnects us to our deep relationship with nature.
At the heart of Anna Tou’s practice, clay becomes a living material, a witness to ages and civilizations, evoking the origins of humanity. Inspired by her heritage from western France, where ancient stones bear the marks of time, she draws from the memory of places to capture both the present moment and echoes of the past. This return to origins, to ancestral and essential techniques, becomes a form of active meditation—where the mind is freed through materiality to shape Atelier Tou’s creations.
In Atelier Tou, there is no internet connection, offering a space of complete disconnection. We welcome other passionate creators, fostering a place of sharing and knowledge transmission, where everyone can step away from modern constraints and rediscover an authentic connection to clay and creation.
