Summer workshops
From pottery to sculpture, the summer workshop is a weekend to discover modeling (slab, pinch, coil) or perfect your techniques of assembling, stamping and decoration. For adults and teens aged 15+, from beginner to intermediate level. Limited to 5 participants for individual attention and tailored guidance. Workshop details below ↓

In the spirit of a potluck lunch, a midday break is planned to share food together. Everyone brings a culinary specialty they've made or from a favorite spot. Desserts and drinks served by the studio. Microwave and fridge available.

Cancellation by the participant: You can cancel your registration for the program by notifying the workshop by email at least 15 days before the first class of the program. This program is non-refundable. After this period, you will receive a voucher valid for 12 months for all workshops at Atelier Tou.
Refund or postponement of a course in case of force majeure: Any request to postpone a course must be supported by an appropriate document at least 5 days before the class in question. The postponement request will be considered with either a medical certificate or a work certificate. In this case, a postponement to a later session may be offered.
Cancellation by the workshop: In the event of cancellation by us for reasons beyond your control, the course will be rescheduled to another date.

Morning
— Introduction to Ceramic: history, techniques, clays, glazes, firings
— Presentation of the pinching technique (stoneware clay)
— Modeling of several pieces, like cup, mug, soap dish…
Afternoon
— Presentation of hand-building techniques
— Hand-building, like adding a handle, grip, pouring spout, etc.
Day 2
Morning
— Presentation of the slab technique
— Shaping of several pieces, like plate, board, tray…
Afternoon
— Presentation of decor techniques (stamping, underglazing)
— Decorating on one or several pieces
— Refining and finalising of your creations
— Presentation of the glazes and choice of colours
