Weekly classes

A cycle of 5 sessions to discover the modeling (slab, pinch, coil, molding) and to perfect your techniques of assembling, stamping, decoration and glazing. A small cozy group to explore, develop, and improve your skills with guidance at each step of your creations, from pottery to sculpture. Limited to 5 participants for individual attention and tailored guidance. Classes details below ↓

    The workshop encourages you to check your availability for each course date.

    Multiple pieces may be created per person per session (depending on size and weight). A supplement will be charged depending on the size and volume of the pieces completed.

    Two weeks are mandatory between the 4th and 5th classes for your final pieces to dry and be fired.

    Please bring an FFP2 mask and latex gloves for the final class (glazing session).

  • Cancellation by the participant: You can cancel your registration for the program by notifying the workshop by email at least 4 weeks before the first class of the program. This program is non-refundable. After this 4-week period, you will receive a voucher valid for 12 months for all Atelier Tou programs.

    Refund or postponement of a course in case of force majeure: Any request to postpone a course must be supported by an appropriate document at least 5 days before the class in question. The postponement request will be considered with either a medical certificate or a work certificate. In this case, a postponement to a later session may be offered.

    Cancellation by the workshop: In the event of cancellation by us for reasons beyond your control, the course will be rescheduled to another date.

Class 1

Introduction to ceramic: history, techniques, clays, glazes, firings. Presentation of the pinching technique and its practical application.

Class 2

Presentation of the slab technique and assembling. Practical application according to your creative projects.

Class 3

Presentation of molding and stamping and practical application. Students work on their own project.

Class 4

Presentation of underglaze and decoration techniques, then practical application. Work and finishing of work-in-progress pieces.

Class 5

Demonstration then glazing of your pieces on bisqued clay (= fired once).
