You'll first get to know clay, then move on to learning the technique of slab shaping. This technique involves rolling out the clay like pie dough. Once this is done, you'll raise the edges with your fingers. You can make round plates or organic shapes, or even create a spoon rest or a jewelry dish. If you have time, I'll show you how to stamp your pieces by printing patterns to create textures.
